The Village of Hazelton is looking for a Casual (On-Call) Labourer for its Public Works Department. This is a union position and hours will be dictated by operational requirements and projects to be completed. Duties may include but are not limited to grounds maintenance, general repair and maintenance of municipal vehicles, buildings, sidewalks, streets and rights of way, snow removal, and garbage collection and other related tasks.
Applicants must hold a valid Class 5 B.C. Drivers Licence, be in good physical condition, able to operate related equipment and perform all required duties with minimal supervision, and deal effectively with the public. Completion of Grade Twelve or an equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
Hourly rate for 2021 $22.60 + 12% in lieu of benefits, hourly rate for 2022 $23.17 + 12%.
