Beginning in 2024, the Village of Hazelton no longer requires dog owners to purchase a licence.

The Village reminds dog owners’ to:

• Keep their dog on a leash and under direct care and control
• Keep their dog secured on the owners' premises
• Ensure that their dogs do not disturb the neighbourhood (i.e. continuous barking)

If you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to report a dog at large please contact the Village Office. If you encounter an aggressive dog, please call the New Hazelton RCMP Detachment at 250-842-5244.
